The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) is Houston’s Health University and Texas’ greatest resource for health care education, innovation, scientific discovery and excellence in patient care. Leveraging the collective talent of its six schools—medicine, dentistry, biomedical science, nursing, public health, bioinformatics--the people of UTHealth work together to educate tomorrow’s health care professionals, solve the most challenging health problems of our time and provide exceptional, compassionate care for our patients at every stage of life.
UTHealth offers 17 degree programs, 16 dual or joint degree programs and nine certificate programs (two academic and seven professional training). As of Fall 2014, UTHealth had 1,930 faculty, 4,443 staff and 4,556 students: 657 undergraduate, 2,146 graduate, 1,347 professional, 184 certificate and 222 non-degree students.
